Daniel DeGruttola, M.D.

Dr. Dan DeGruttola is a local resident of Connecticut. He graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and his medical degree was obtained from The Medical College of Pennsylvania. He returned to New England for internship at University of Connecticut, a year of Anesthesiology at Hartford Hospital, and a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and a fellow of the American Academy of PM&R. His clinical experience includes inpatient and outpatient management of patients with various medical conditions including musculoskeletal, neurological, congenital, acquired and physiological all with a goal of improving functional outcomes. He spent 10 years pursuing dysphagia consultation, which is a field of medicine focused on swallowing disorders, operating as part of a mobile team, performing modified barium swallow studies, operating fluoroscopic equipment and writing patient consultation reports. Now he works full time in the field of Addiction Medicine with Connecticut Addiction Medicine, LLC with a goal of achieving Board Certification in Addiction Medicine.
